چکیده

Covid-19 demonstrates the vulnerabilities of living in close proximity to others and we ask this question: What kind city would enhance lives all its citizens, including new arrivals? This question is at center attempts bring adult citizenship education address community social problems through a pedagogy city, case City Larissa. Local-to-Global Bayesian Network Structure Learning

We introduce a new local-to-global structure learning algorithm, called graph growing structure learning (GGSL), to learn Bayesian network (BN) structures. GGSL starts at a (random) node and then gradually expands the learned structure through a series of local learning steps. At each local learning step, the proposed algorithm only needs to revisit a subset of the learned nodes, consisting of ...

From E-learning to Ubiquitous Learning; Theoretical Principles

Background: Because of approaches to learning in every place and at any time, ubiquitous learning with knowledge of the context and framework, and due to the development of wireless technologies and sensors, the learning process has changed. Mobile learning and ubiquitous learning as models of e-learning that refer to the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes and skills through wireless technolog...

From Local Actions to Global Tasks: Stigmergy and Collective Robotics

This paper presents a series of experiments where a group of mobile robots gather 81 randomly distributed objects and cluster them into one pile. Coordination of the agents’ movements is achieved through stigmergy. This principle, originally developed for the description of termite building behaviour, allows indirect communication between agents through sensing and modification of the local env...

Learning with Local and Global Consistency

We consider the general problem of learning from labeled and unlabeled data, which is often called semi-supervised learning or transductive inference. A principled approach to semi-supervised learning is to design a classifying function which is sufficiently smooth with respect to the intrinsic structure collectively revealed by known labeled and unlabeled points. We present a simple algorithm ...

Learning to understand others' actions

Despite nearly two decades of research on mirror neurons, there is still much debate about what they do. The most enduring hypothesis is that they enable 'action understanding'. However, recent critical reviews have failed to find compelling evidence in favour of this view. Instead, these authors argue that mirror neurons are produced by associative learning and therefore that they cannot contr...
